Born in 1946. He was the former President of the Singapore Modern Art Society (1982 - 1993). He is an active participant in both local and international art exhibitions since 1970, among some of which are: Asia Invitation Art Exhibition in Seoul (1995 - 2001), Huangshan Art Exhibition (1994 - 95), 1st, 6th, 7th, 8th Asian International Art Exhibition (1990, 1992, 1993 & 1994) and Salon des Artistes Francais au grand palais ‘85 and ‘86 in France. He held 12 solo exhibitions in 1980, 1987-90, 1995, 2001-03 and 2005 in Singapore, Taiwan and China. His 1988 exhibitions were in Today Art Gallery (Taipei) and Kao Shiong National Library while his 1989 exhibition was in the Singapore National Museum Art Gallery. He won Special Award for Singapore Sky-line competition by OCBC in 1976, Distinction Awards UOB Painting of the Year Exhibition, 1982-87, Public Service Medal (PBM) by Singapore Government in 1981, 1st Prize in Ministry of Communication and Information Art Competition 1987; and Merit Award for IBM Art Award Competition  1988, 89. He is constantly involved in major art projects (Sculptures and Murals).
